Subject: [Leica] new lens technology

Josh Silver was the English gentleman who came up with the idea. Brilliant fellow. They are practical but I'm not sure if they were ever commercialized. The lenses tended to be a little thicker than ground lenses. But in the third world where vision care and corrective lenses are not widely available, it is a very good concept. Hopefully a company will pick up on it and make it happen. Even in the U.S., it is amazing how eyecare can be overlooked.
