Nope, we're not British, either. Some folks' ancestors here were, but not all, and not mine! Mine were Gaelic-speaking Celtic types from the regions dominated by British (both over there and over here). A bunch o' hardheaded Irish (can you tell?) who mixed around with the Cherokee in North Carolina. As far as I know, I ain't got no "Anglo-Saxon" in me anywhere. Not to say anything bad against the British folks. I mean, they're supposed to be our favorite colony, right? I think they call us Crackers! I can call myself that, but you can't call me that!
