I find it depends more on what you are fishing for. Rainbow are suckers 
for bright flashy lures. Dunno why as there can't be many flashy things 
that live long in water. I guess if it works for me, silver chrome 
Leicas, why not trout? Not that I have tried using Leicas as lures. I 
wonder if predominately male fish go for flashy lures. I can just image 
the females shaking their heads...
