My favourite is the 4th picture from the right, the girl with the 5 fingers 
spread.

That's because the gallery is made with Macromedia Flash. Whats 
inconvenient for most users (like you), can be conveniant for the copyright 
owner that is having his images a little bit better protected (but you can 
still capture a screenshot to copy it). Though I'm assistant professor for 
exactly Macromedia Flash, I mostly prefer html gallerys for photographs, 
especially for showing to list members.

But I still prefer a Flash gallery to dominant and ugly copyright claims 
placed in the middle of a photograph, like some of us do.
