While the Polaroid is no longer available, my understanding is that it's the same basic parts as the Microtek ArtixScan. When my SS4000 gives up the ghost, I'm going to have a hard decision to make. But I'd be tempted to try out the Microtek just to see. SS4000 + Vuescan + silver b/w = very happy photographer Everything on my web site has been scanned with the SS4000/vuescan combo.
