If I might interject here; the 40mm lines are impossible to see for 
anybody wearing glasses, and the 50mm lines are quite hard to see - 
comparable to the 35mm lines on a .85 body. I couldn't see the 40mm 
lines any easier than the 28mm lines on the R-D1, which is hardly 
surprising as the viewfinders are the same and the FOV'v very 
similar. You might be able to see far beyond the framelines with your 
open eye, but you can't see the framelines.

I'm not sure what the benefit of that is.
