Yes, this is what is recommended by the official ASMP lawyer.  ASMP 
has very good legal advice from lawyers who specialize in copyright 
and other legal forms that photographers have to know about.  The 
valuable consideration can even be something as ephemeral as advice.

That was just stupid.  Forgery is forgery.  I make sure my releases 
are signed and dated.
