congrats b.d. on an excellent photo essay. you've really managed to capture 
something and the title, "alone together" is absolutely fitting. i won't 
pick a favorite because i think they're all of really top notch quality and 
they work well together -- the whole here is indeed greater than the sum of 
its parts. your framing and ability to isolate a subject really gives us a 
glimpse into what photography used to be in the good old days. you've shown 
us once again that there are some things that film can do that digital will 
never be able to duplicate. the quiet shutter of a leica M, and the tonal 
gradients of t-max in accufine are a bastion which will resist assault 
forever.
 
keep the faith! and thanks also for reminding us that a tedious chore (such 
as taking the subway to work every day) can be turned into a rewarding 
creative project by a person with the right mind.
 
you seem to have just enough cameras and you're using them,
