Thanks, Walt, for your kind words.    This is one of my favourite shots, too!

The "Prickly Pear" is actually a cactus flower, in Costa Rica.  The 
unknown insect is, indeed, unknown!

The shot was taken, handheld, with a Canon 20D with 80~200/4 
Vario-Elmar (at 200mm) and an old, SL-era 2x converter.  What you 
see, is the full frame. :-)
