See http://www.autrynationalcenter.org/ There were pictures there from Watkins, Muybridge, AA, Weston, Coburn, Alma Lavenson, Caponigro and others. Given the short time frame that pictures were made ( 1850, or about 150 years ), it is very interesting to see the diverse ways the same material is shown. BTW, this was the first time I saw AA and Weston take the same material and their treatment, side by side. As AA was the Master of the Grand Scenic, Edward is the Master of intimate scene. I forget all the Art, but it included some of the first charcoals, oils, and water images. Don't miss it... it is a traveling exhibit... so look at the Autry Center for more info... Yes, Gene Autry, as in Horses, Cowboys and Indians.....and crooners..... Frank Filippone red735i@earthlink.net
