Here's a rough sketch of what you might use - shouldn't be too hard to 
run it up in a home workshop, a couple of pieces of hard wood or 
aluminium, a long bolt and a few retaining nuts.
Fix the bolt in the small segment - which is a little too big on my 
sketch (strip the thread off it - it will still have to turn without 
moving its segment), either screw thread the large segment, or if your 
using wood countersink a couple of nuts into it and screw the bolt 
through it. Fix some kind of turning mechanism. a wing-nut or similar on 
the end. If you turn it it should press the small segment against the 
dent. The size of the large segment stops it distorting the whole hood
