Yes, you are correct.

I've worked with canon EOS 400D too. That camera will automatically icrease 
the ISO in A mode. And I was not happy with the resaults in high ISOs. So 
I'm 
little conservative is using high iso in digital world. Is it safe to use 
iso400 or iso800 on DMR? Don't the pictures  get too noisy?

I'm going to a two day trip today. I hope bring back some knew stuff.
