Double bass, hm, yes, admittedly quite difficult to carry on a bike 
(especially since mine is without luggage rack...but not impossible when I 
see Philipp Forests asian bycicle transport pictures). My boy's icehockey 
bags also fit into this bulk category. Fortunately we have the S-Bahn 
carrying us punctually at the other end of the city in a third of the time a 
car needs in the rush hour (not talking about costs and ecology).
