Harrison,

That's a great choice. One of the benefits of the F3 is you can use  
all the old non-AI lenses as well as anything else Nikon has ever  
made (except for the AF G lenses). I don't have a MD4 for mine but  
with the prices as low as they are, why not. Of course some of the  
pro AI lenses like the 85/1.4 and 35/1.4 still command pretty high  
prices. Maybe because they're not made of plastic and still produce  
wonderful images.
