I'll hope that they give us a choice.

Re: testing. The only way that one could scientifically test the  
effect of the IR cutoff filter placed directly in front of the sensor  
would be: in the lab: with the same lens focused, on the same sensor,  
with, and without the 'specified' filter.

Do we know that this was 'not' tested during R&D by Leica and/or Kodak?
