Sandy -

I felt the same way you did about the M6's and 7's and my Canon 5D 
and 1DMII certainly didn't replace them.  When I got my M8 it was 
like coming home again.  I absolutely love it.  My only decision now 
is whether to buy a second M8 or wait until the M9 come out.  I've 
had no problem selling photos made with the M8 and have easily made 
enough to justify the price.  If you have M lenses, it's really a 
shame not to use them with digital.  I still use my Canon's for macro 
and telephoto, but the M8 for everything else - especially the 
documentary type photos that you do so well.  I really don't think 
you would ever regret getting an M8.
