Jeffrey,

This Summarit has some haze inside. But I think most of the low  
contrast is caused by flare. The sun was just above and just to the  
right of the lenses view. I have four Leica lenses I plan to send to  
John to get cleaned up. All LTM, all 50's, and all have some degree  
of haze. I'm taking quite a few photos with all four of them before I  
do. I have an uncoated Xenon with nearly perfect glass, no haze, that  
has better contrast then the Summarit.
