I have no idea who said this.... but it reeks of elitism, snobbery, and
insensitivity.

Some of us do not have, will not have, and for that matter do not want a
$5K++++ digital Leica or other camera body.

When you shoot digital, you shoot a lot more than if you have film. Why?
Because electrons are free, and film is not.

No matter how hard I personally try, I can not justify the cost of a $5K++++
camera body, digital or not. No less that I don't have the money to spend
on one.

I went to Europe and shot 35 rolls of film.... that's about $15 a roll or
$6-700 including film and processing. If I do that once a year, it would
take 10 years to break even....

Some of you shoot more, some of you are pros, some of you just plain are
lucky enough to have the money to indulge a $5K++++ camera.... Good for you.

But cut out the "looking down your nose" at me and others like me because
I/we don't.
