Hi Ken, yep, understood. The only lens issue for me is the price and size of
new wides as I've grown used to having up to 21mm for
my M7 now (I have the new compact Biogon 4.5 21).
A WATE and finder would solve it, but it costs as much as a new M8 here ;-(

Cheers

I'm still with the thought that a full-size sensor isn't necessary. My
M8/Summilux 35mm combo has completely replaced my M6/Noctilux, and is
perhaps a whole pound lighter. The image quality is better in most
situations, too.

When the full-frame M body comes out, I'm not 100% sure if I will switch
right away. Besides, by looking at the advancement of the sensor
technology, the quality can be expected to be better than today's
silver-halide film (look at the images with Nikon D3 at ISO6400 or higher.
Just amazing.) that I'm not sure if I will need a Noctilux. It is likely
that I may be happier with a M9/Summilux 50mm.

pay for them, we shall see. My bet is that the current first offered upgrade
will mainly cause everyone who has yet to buy an M8 but
wants one, to wait a little longer. The new improvements must make it into
serial production. Any possible future upgrade including
a 35mm sensor will be a very different story for current owners, in my
opinion.
