Because we find 'art' and 'Art' and 'ART' interesting.
We find our thoughts, judgments, labels and interpretations interesting.

We don't want to spend our lives living with those in poverty.
We'd rather dip in; photograph the conditions; get out and feel good
about how our photos may help improve the conditions.
or
have a little book or folio and say - look - I was here and here and
here.
or
isn't this just gorgeous
etc.

Fond regards,
George
