Subject: [Leica] Nikon Coolscan Scanners.... Models 4000 and 5000

frank i have had the 4000 and currently have the 5000. overall the
same with the 5000 being a faster one. same resolution just a bit more
option that won't make that much difference (d-lighting is one that
comes to mind, and only if u use the nikon software)

on the roll adapter, there is a trick that can turn the regular 6
strip to a roll reader, u just have to open the back as  though u have
a roll adapter. i use the nikon software and hamrik's vuscan
interchangeably. there is a but with the current xp version of nikon
that hangs now and then
