Brian,

I know a fair bit about a central office (DMS) achieves reliability  
and a bit about the others. I am willing to chip in because I think  
there is a problem/need which digital media causes. Perhaps we can  
create grand child of RAID for the average person? But we should take  
this offline as not to bore everyone else to sleep. Maybe you can  
create a separate mailing list where all those interested can  
participate? :)
