Yes Frank i know the danger if it is stolen. And since the seller did not
have the recipt and is not willing to give me the serialno of the camera i
said no thanks.
I will go to Hong Kong one of thise days and see if i can get a new.Little
more expencive at first but might be the cheapest when the day is over.
I think there is some here on the list that live in HK can you please email
me where is the best place in HK to shop for a Leica M9 or M9-P?
Kind regards
Geir

Advice:? NEVER believe the story for something that is up for sale. EVER.

Assume that it is for sale (at the price quoted, or something less), its
condition is unknown (even if it is in your hands) , it will need a CLA at
least, and it may be stolen.

It could be a big financial mistake to you as you get it working again......
Leica repairs are terribly $$$ and if you need a sensor replacement......

If it is a stolen M9, and it ever needs repair by Leica ( and it will),
anywhere in the world, it realistically could be removed from you without
reimbursement.

It was sold in USA in october last year and found its way to Philippines
where i can buy it. I will google the serialno asap when i get it. The
seller was reluctant to give it to me but i said if no serialno no sale.
Hope soon i will be the owner of a M9 and a Summicron M 28mm F2 0 ASPH.
Kind regards
Geir
