I enjoy having the technical and aesthetic knowledge to achieve desired
results.
No matter how technically or aesthetically difficult.
I enjoy knowing what's happening, mechanically, optically, electronically,
with sensors and sensitometers
and why I'm getting or not getting a desired result.

I also enjoy understanding what others discuss; knowing the language.

This includes also knowing when KISS is the appropriate approach.
and
When thinking it through, testing and working it out, is the appropriate
approach.

I agree that the "Photograph" is all that's really important.
Although, for me, the world of photography offers much else to enjoy, learn
and discuss.
(unless it becomes an impediment to one's photographic production)
