Nope. This won't happen just like most photographers won't be going
back to rangefinders for their work. The world found that out in 1959.

I bet you MY M9 that what you say does NOT happen. It's hyperbole. 
Sure some Magnum folks and some VII folks may use them but those
photographers already have their niche and could choose to use whatever
gear they want, film or digital. They might try an M9 or some upgraded
version on a lark but Leica is not going to take the photo world by
storm. Not with the MM, M9 or any M model, nor with any SLR, film or
digital. Honestly, they make a bigger impact on the world with their
Micro' and Geosystems companies (but those aren't photo.) If they
wanted to really rock the photo world, they would have released
something like a Nikon D3 in the clothes of the R9. That would have
gained a bunch of followers since R glass is still relatively
inexpensive and fantastic.
