The suggestion that gun ownership is ok simply and only because it's
personally fulfilling or an aspect of cultural bonding is absurd. Of
course, the statement itself is irrefutable, but it totally dodges the
basic question of whether or not gun owners would forgo their pleasures or
rights in exchange for the lives at Newton.
