exactly, M lenses will work as you say, but R lenses require the button be 
pushed each time....

***it is rather sad that R lenses even with Leica's own adapter, R to M, 
will not operate like M lenses, and the fine Oly VF4 EVF apparantly will not 
be functional like the Oly VF2.
