You are making an implicit assumption that people who own Leicas are wealthy. Of
course, everything is relative, but I can assure you that some of us have had to
make significant sacrifices in terms of rearranging our priorities in order to
afford our Leicas. For example, I drive boring, cheap cars but have a Leica M7,
M6 and R8--because my photography is more important to me than my wheels. By no
means am I independently wealthy or anywhere close to it.

This does not mean that I would rip anyone off, BTW. As recent corporate
scandals have shown, the propensity to rip other people off appears to be quite
unrelated to one's income.
