Sorry, but the guy is only showing his incompetence. Not in getting rid 
of his film cameras, but in assuming that digital cameras are not 
capable of recording the northern lights. They most certainly are, and 
without the noise he's talking about. You just have to have a better 
camera than a point-and-shoot.
