Okay, so marketing information hasn't been forthcoming in the past. I'm  
glad this information is out. But the fact remains that whatever comes  
out of the camera at minimum settings is still the baseline from which  
one works. And I choose Photoshop for that instead of some other  
software that adds another layer to my workflow and one more  
opportunity to mess up the original file's data.
