Mine won't be, unless it breaks and is unrepairable. I am satisfied by 
the prints I get and would be surprised if any new camera comes out 
which makes it obsolete. Better perhaps, cheaper certainly, but not 
enough to make mine unusable or suddenly by some strange osmosis stop 
it producing good results:-)
