I managed to get a lens hood for my Summaron, making the lens less
compact. I now use mine on a IIIa. I think the whole set up itself
just gives people a sense that they are being less intruded upon.
I take mine on shoots, stuck in a pocket in the vest, or camera bag.
After the required digital shots are taken, I'll pause for a few
quick ones with the IIIa. No matter how busy, or in a rush, no one
has minded when they saw the camera.
I had an Elmar 3.5cm as match for the Hektor, but I went with the
Summaron after I tested the lenses.
For a hood for the Hektor, I'm using an A36 filter frame, glass taken
out. I taped the inside threads on the lens with black graphic tape.
After seeing the height of the 28mm Voigtlander hood, it seems to be
enough.
