It seems to be viewed -
= That photography and film making is on longer a thing done by skilled
people using rarified equipment.
But by everybody who has a cellphone.
Or credit card camera. Or other small cheep fun electronic devices that
people L O V E.
And the reason why it's viewed that way is because its true!

I'm found of looking at amateur photos what I think of as
"Contact sheet sites" at least as much as I enjoy looking at Ralph Gibson's
Website. Maybe even more.
Love picture of people taking pictures of themselves in the mirror.
Love Your Tube!
Love!
Aim that little gizmo at me!

Soon we'll be wishing for the days of the cell phone cameras because
everyone will have still and video cameras built into their eye glass frames
and their wrist watches.
Go "blink wink" and you got your picture.

Photographers have to clearly demonstrate that they're doing something which
everyone on the sidewalk is not already doing.
A darkroom and a Speed Graphic is on longer enough.

The main thing might still be the "be there" part of the "f8 and be there"
equation.

You can't sit in front you your monitor half the day.
You got to get out and get the shots. You got to "be there".

f8 and be there squared!!
