All I know is this: when I came back to Leica a little over a year ago after
4 years of shooting with Canon and Olympus DSLRs, during the first couple of
months I missed numerous shots by clicking too EARLY! My years with the
DSLRs had trained me to account for shutter lag, and so when I switched to
the M8 with its much shorter lag (even if it may be longer than it was on
the M3), I would anticipate and compensate as if I were still shooting with
the slow beasts.

It took a couple of months to get back into Leica timing.
