My home computer is a big Dell tower running Windows XP. It's
getting old and slow and has new problems every time I turn it
on. Currently, it won't connect to the internet even though nothing
has changed. Searches, restore, virus scans, etc. all result in
blank screens. I think it just needs to be replaced. I thought I
would replace it with a MAC laptop, since I love my little M1210
laptop and it's actually much faster than my desktop; however, most
of you seem to agree that I should get a Mac desktop. I've set up a
new folder in my e-mail called "MAC" and am saving all of your
suggestions for when I go shopping.

I was very disappointed to find out that my newest favorite software,
IDimager, which seems to be a great DAM program, is PC
only. :-( I've already got over 50,000 photos cataloged on it.
