This happens all the time.... and the result is almost always the same....
folks buy a new computer.
The fact is that Windows OS gets "dirty". Big, fat, with too much garbage.
In most likelihood, a complete and fresh install of Windows would probably
fix everything.
Then you get to put all your programs back on, and get them working right.
It is a lot of work.
A lot of IT pros regularly do it.... .
But a lot of work.

My home computer is a big Dell tower running Windows XP. It's
getting old and slow and has new problems every time I turn it
on.
