But it does Leica no good to have cheerleaders who do not look at the negatives of their approach - I think the final pressure on a company to change is always, in the final analysis, applied by the customer. For example however good the M8 may be, and I have not used one so I dont know, the necessity to use IR filters is a gigantic misstep, which a company of Leica's size can ill afford. However practically everyone on the list played apologist, and those who had bought M8s went out of their way to say that it was no big deal. Well it was - I would have definitely bought one but for this, and I have a dozen friends who would have, too. Leica can ill afford to lose sales like this. I still say that if a camera is so good, we would see professionals, who make a living shooting photographs using it. It does Leica no good, in the long run, at their prices, to target sales of a camera either to an aging fan club, or to a younger generation as a fashion accessory.
